How we source our content

Engineer Nepal collects news, notices and documents that already exist on other sites and points you to the original. This page explains where each kind of content comes from.

News

We collect headlines and short excerpts of one or two sentences from the public feeds and pages of the publishers below. Every story links to the original on the publisher's own site, and we do not republish full articles. We honour each site's robots.txt and fetch politely, one request at a time.

Publishers we aggregate

Notices and tenders

Tender, exam, vacancy and other notices come from official government and public-body sites, including the Department of Roads, DUDBC, the Department of Local Infrastructure, the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management, Nepal Electricity Authority, Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the Nepal Engineering Council, the Public Service Commission and the public procurement portal (Bolpatra). Each notice links to the original page.

Downloads

Documents in Downloads are published by the offices named on each row, such as DUDBC and the Department of Roads. Every row links to the official page or the official file. For some smaller files we also keep a copy so you can read it on this site; those carry a note to check the official site for the latest version.

Automatic updates

News and notices are collected automatically every 4 hours. Stories can be reviewed and removed by our editors after they appear.

Broken links

Links to downloads are checked automatically. A download whose official link stops working, and for which we hold no copy, is hidden until the link works again.

Corrections and removal requests

If you publish or are named in something we show, and you want it corrected or removed, tell us on the contact page. Please include the page address and what should change.
