NEC Licence Exam: Eligibility, Dates and Registration

The Nepal Engineering Council (NEC) registers engineers in Nepal, and its 14th general registration exam started on Asoj 17, 2083 in Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara with an application fee of Rs 2,500 (Rs 5,000 if late).

Registration categories

Under the NEC Regulations 2057 (third amendment 2080) there are three registration categories:

  • General Registered Engineer
  • Professional Engineer
  • Non-Nepali Registered Engineer

The general registration exam needs a bachelor's degree in engineering. For the other categories, read the Regulations and NEC notices.

The 14th general registration exam

The 14th general registration exam started on Asoj 17, 2083 in Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara. The application fee was Rs 2,500, or Rs 5,000 for a late application, according to the NEC notice.
