The course provides comprehensive, project-based training on the modeling, analysis, design, and detailing of heavy industrial steel buildings using ETABS, Idea Statica, and CSI SAFE.
The Course contents are:
- Project Scope: Design of a massive heavy industrial steel building (20m width x 39.5m length x 60m height).
- Structural System: Steel moment frame structures integrated with bracings.
- Equipment Loads: Supporting heavy industrial equipment (100T, 200T, 350T) directly on the structure.
- Load Calculations: Designing for gravity, live, and equipment loads.
- Advanced Lateral Loads: Static and dynamic wind load analysis, and earthquake load applications specific to industrial structures.
- Foundation Design: Options for eccentric isolated and combined footings, as well as pile and pile caps.
- Software Skills: Hands-on application using ETABS, Idea Statica, SAFE, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
- IS Codes: IS800, IS875, IS1893.
