The course provides comprehensive, project-based training on the conceptual planning, modeling, analysis, design, and detailing of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) systems with a special focus on Industrial Sheds using STAAD.Pro and manual calculations.
The Course contents are:
  • PEB Fundamentals: Understanding structural steel systems, load paths, conceptual planning, and essential components of PEB Industrial Sheds.
  • Load Calculations: Computing gravity and lateral loads, with a specialized focus on analyzing crane loads.
  • Software Skills: Advanced modeling, loading, and analysis in STAAD.Pro, including the accurate application of moving crane loads.
  • Element & Connection Design: Configuration and section classification (IS800-2007), design of structural elements (including Gantry Girders), and comprehensive connection design.
  • Detailing & Drafting: Detailing of structural elements and the basics of drawing development for PEB systems as per Indian/International Standards.
  • Practical Projects: Hands-on execution of two complete PEB Industrial Shed projects (One without a crane and one with a crane).
  • IS Codes: Thorough coverage of IS800.
