The course provides comprehensive, project-based training on the conceptual planning, modeling, analysis, and design of flat slab systems, shear walls, and gravity columns using ETABS, CSI SAFE, and manual calculations.
The Course contents are:
  • Structural Planning: Conceptual planning of structural systems.
  • Load Calculations: Computing gravity and seismic loads (special emphasis on Flat Slab Systems).
  • Software Skills: Modeling and analysis of the complete building using ETABS.
  • Element Design & Detailing:
    • Design of Flat Slab System (One-way shear, punching, flexure, deflection)
    • Ductile Detailing of Flat Slab
    • Design and Detailing of Shear Wall System
    • Design of Gravity Column System
    • Analysis and Design of Isolated Foundations using CSI SAFE
  • Structural Drafting: Drawing development for the building.
  • BOQ Calculation: Estimating quantities using MS-Excel.
  • IS Codes: IS456, IS1893, IS13920, IS-SP16, IS-SP34.
